Founder

John H. Boyd is the founder and president of The
Boyd Company, Inc. One of the most experienced and trusted business
leaders in his field, Mr. Boyd helps shape the direction of new
corporate investment in the U.S. and around the globe.
An economist by
training, Boyd's corporate site selection experience traces back to his
academic research work in Puerto Rico.
Boyd's research, entitled U.S. Manufacturing Investment in Puerto
Rico: A Response to Operation Bootstrap, studied the Island's
commonwealth political status and tax structure and why U.S.
manufacturers were locating there. As a Bevier Fellow in
Economics at the Rutgers Graduate School, Mr. Boyd expanded his
research in the field of corporate mobility. After a tenure as a
facilities location analyst with the Management Consulting Division
of Dun & Bradstreet in New York in the early 1970's, Mr. Boyd
established his own location practice in Princeton, NJ, in 1975.
More than 30 years later, Boyd remains dedicated to positioning his firm's
clients ahead of prevailing site selection and economic trends.
Mr. Boyd's proprietary insights into emerging
corporate location and investment trends have made him an
authoritative source for industry analysts and business editors nationwide covering
corporate mobility and the economy. His views are frequently cited in such
publications as BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, The New
York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Fortune Magazine, USA TODAY,
Canada's Globe and Mail, The Washington Post, and many others.
Over the years, Mr. Boyd has been looked to for
counsel at many economic forums, including the U.S. Senate, the
World Bank, Canada's Privy Counsel, economic planning
organizations of foreign governments, and numerous symposiums and
hearings on the
subject of corporate relocation and business climate
legislation.
